Weston Leibee

Weston Leibee, Liberty’s President, began his shed career in 1996 and later spent 12 years serving God in Ghana, West Africa. Upon returning to the United States, he accepted the position of Sales Manager with Liberty. Drawing on his previous experience in the shed, specialty construction, and nonprofit industries, he worked his way up to the office of the President.

Relationships are important to Weston and are his favorite thing about working with Liberty. He also believes in giving back and makes time to volunteer as a youth soccer coach in Davidson County, providing cross-cultural training in Ghana, and at the Shepherd’s Retreat Foundation in Ohio.

Weston and his wife, Charity, have three sons, a (tamed) feral cat, and a boxer. When he isn’t cheering the Florida Gators on, you can find him smoking some type of meat. (That’s probably because he wanted to be a chef when he was a child.) He also enjoys international travel.

Shell Berry

Originally from South Bend, IN, our Director of Operations, Shell Berry wanted to be a professional football player as a child. While that career path didn’t pan out, he’s held positions from the bottom to the top in wholesale, retail, and manufacturing.

Shell works to build a nourishing environment where people can grow and flourish. He hopes creating this type of positive work experience carries over to create healthy interactions at home. Shell says the best thing about working with Liberty is that “everyone desires to live into our vision. Our vision isn’t just words on the wall.”

When not spending time with his family (wife, Laurie, three daughters, one grandson, and a dog named Koda) He volunteers at Church, his local Elementary School in Huntersville, NC, and the Food Bank. He also enjoys Notre Dame Football and the University of Memphis basketball.

Dan Clark

Liberty’s Financial Controller, Dan Clark, has called Virginia and Florida home but lives in Salisbury, North Carolina, these days.

His analytical skills and attention to detail were sharpened in industries such as manufacturing, aerospace services, and a CPA practice. Although different from his childhood dream of being a pilot, managing Liberty’s finances is a perfect fit.

Dan appreciates that Liberty strives to live out our Core Values daily. Things like being Christ-Centered, believing People Matter, and creating a Learning Environment where Clarity is King, fall in line with his personal convictions of Integrity and Compassion.

Dan and his wife have three grown children, one granddaughter, three dogs and a cat at home. He also enjoys hiking when the chance presents itself.

Sherri Chernutan

Sherri Chernutan is Liberty’s Director of Sales an Marketing. She grew up on a farm in Jacksonville, NC and received her Bachelor's in Business Administration from ECU in Greenville. She has 25 years of experience in the beverage industry, from calling on small Carolina businesses to key Sales and Marketing leadership positions with Coca-Cola in Tampa and Charlotte. She lives with her husband in Lexington, and between them, they have 4 children. 

Sherri has a passion for empowering people that makes her a great fit with our team. She is an energetic strategist who values team and action.

Karlyn Armsworthy

With a heart for helping people, Karlyn Armsworthy is Liberty’s Customer Success Manager. Her background as the Executive Director of the Advocacy Center of Davie County and experience as an instructor at Davie County Community College has provided a perspective unique to her profession.

Karlyn’s favorite thing about working with Liberty is that her values align with those of Liberty. She enjoys seeing people’s lives change for the better and is grateful for the opportunity to lead Liberty’s Care Team and ministry initiatives as well as the Customer Success Team. She also enjoys riding horses, gardening, spending time with family, and watching sports, especially the Panthers and Braves.

Living on a horse farm with her husband, Bradley, she has five dogs, 3 horses, a donkey, goats, and chickens. She also volunteers with Family Promise of Davie County, The Bridge at 197 and Last Mile Transportation Ministry. She also serves as the Council Chair at Smith Grove United Methodist Church.

  • Chris Harold

    SALES NETWORK COORDINATOR

    An aspiring football player in his youth, Liberty’s Sales Network Coordinator, Chris Harold, hails from Concord, North Carolina. His experience in several industries with progressive levels of sales responsibility led him to Liberty.

    He says the best thing about Liberty is “being able to work with such a fun team!”

    Chris has lived in Bristol, TN, Richmond, VA, and the North Carolina towns of Winston-Salem, Concord, Charlotte, and Huntersville. His knowledge of the Southeast and his ability to work across manufacturing, transportation, sales, and service departments allow him to lead Liberty’s sales efforts successfully.

    When not working, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and exploring new places, hiking, and being outside. He’s also an NC State fan, so all you Duke and Carolina fans, be sure to let him know who you think is the best ACC team.

  • Devae Tharpe

    MARKETING SPECIALIST

    Devae Tharpe came to Liberty as our Marketing Specialist after gaining experience in the consumer goods, airline, biotherapeutics, and non-profit sectors. This varied experience combines to make her a strong problem solver, able to find creative solutions.

    She values Liberty’s commitment to building caring relationships with coworkers and the community. Devae appreciates the way everyone rallies to support one another when needs arise.

    In her spare time, she’s a stained-glass artist who also serves as the Deputy Regional Commissioner and NC Commissioner for Clan Donald USA. Devae enjoys exploring her ancestry, reading, spending time with her daughter and grandson, and playing with her dog, Teagan.

  • Crystal James

    PURCHASING AGENT

    Davie County native, Crystal James takes care of purchasing for Liberty. Prior to joining the Liberty team, she worked in the textiles, automotive, and injection molded plastic industries and worked as a buyer.

    Crystal’s favorite thing about Liberty is the people she gets to work with. In her spare time, this married mom enjoys reading, playing piano, camping, and UNC Tarheel basketball.

    As a child, she wanted to be a veterinarian. Her love for animals has carried over to her adult life as she’s also mom to two Yorkies, one cat, and a Beagle.

  • Justin Thompson

    AREA SALES SUPPORT

    You may recognize Justin Thompson from the band, Down The Mountain. When he’s not on stage, he’s Liberty’s Area Sales Support Representative. Having worked in the golf industry and for a convenience store distributor, he has experience both inside and outside an office.

    Justin says his favorite thing about working at Liberty is the people, values, and culture. He says it goes beyond building and selling sheds. It truly does change lives.

    When not performing, he enjoys spending time with his family, music, supporting the Atlanta Braves, and golfing! Justin also volunteers with Special Olympics.

  • Kim Doyle

    SERVICE DISPATCHER

    Kim Doyle, Liberty’s Service Dispatcher, is originally from Aledo, IL, and has lived all over the country, including Nebraska, Kansas, Florida, and North Carolina. She’s held positions in agriculture, retail, childcare, and administrative areas. She has an easily adaptable personality and can handle anything that comes her way.

    Kim enjoys Liberty’s focus on God and faith values, as well as the people she works with. They’re all willing to come together and help one another.

    When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, crocheting, playing board games, and reading. Kim also enjoys supporting her favorite sports teams, the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and any team that her grandchildren are on.

  • Megan Woodall

    OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

    Former small business owner and Davie County native Megan Woodall wanted to be a teacher when she was younger. After working in the health and wellness, automotive, and home improvement industries, Megan is now the Office Administrator at Liberty.

    Megan appreciates Liberty’s transparency when it comes to the company’s values, expectations, and operations. In addition, she enjoys the team atmosphere saying, “Everyone is eager to jump in and help each other out, no questions asked.”

    Between October and April, you’ll probably find her cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes. But regardless of the month, Megan spends most of her time with her husband and two-year-old daughter. She’s also mom to a cat, two dogs, and several fish, so there’s never a dull moment in the Woodall household.
